Mr. Jawanza Lamar brings extensive experience as a salesperson, engineer, and entrepreneur to his current position as a Solutions Consultant for Teradata. Based out of Teradata’s Atlanta-based offices, Jawanza Lamar works primarily with clients in the telecommunications sector providing specialized data warehousing solutions for a variety of industry-specific needs. Jawanza Lamar joined Teradata in 2006 after serving as President of Technical Development for Atlanta-based Tracklaps Incorporated. During his time with Tracklaps Inc., Jawanza Lamar held a number of responsibilities critical to the success of the company. As the President of Technical Development, Jawanza Lamar secured initial funding for the company, led a team of programmers in developing the company’s website and database design, and spearheaded the company’s business development and marketing efforts. During his work with Tracklaps Inc., Jawanza Lamar also served as the Owner and President of his own company, OuterXtremes Inc., a customized motorcycle fabricator. As the head of the company, Jawanza Lamar successfully grew OuterXtremes to annual revenues of more than $400,000 during a 3-year span. Jawanza Lamar sold OuterXtremes at a profit in 2005. Prior to pursuing his entrepreneurial goals with OuterXtremes Inc., Jawanza Lamar held a variety of roles with Nortel Networks. While at the industry-leading company, Jawanza Lamar served as a Senior Systems Engineer, Senior Sales Engineer, Account Manager, and eventually as Director of Sales for Optical/Data Products. Jawanza Lamar began working at Nortel upon receipt of his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama. Professionally, Jawanza Lamar maintains affiliations with both the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME). In addition to his membership in the NSBE, Jawanza Lamar also volunteers as a tutor for the organization. In his spare time, Jawanza Lamar enjoys snowboarding, waterskiing, and racquetball. Jawanza Lamar is also a second degree black belt in U.S. Yoshukai Karate, and he has competed in numerous full contact karate tournaments.

A 14-year veteran of the technology industry, Mr. Jawanza Lamar brings substantial experience in consulting, sales, and operational management to his current position as a Solutions Consultant for Teradata Corporation. Hired in 2006, Jawanza Lamar specializes in developing customized data warehousing solutions for clients in the telecom industry. Prior to joining Teradata, Jawanza Lamar served in executive positions at two start-up companies related to the motorcycle racing industry: Tracklaps Inc. and OuterXtremes Inc. In each role, Jawanza Lamar helped develop the company from the ground up, delivering significant revenues through the innovative use of technology and customer-focused operations. A member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME), Jawanza Lamar began his career as a Senior Systems Engineer at Nortel Networks. Demonstrating significant skill in project management and client relations, Jawanza Lamar quickly rose in the company becoming Senior Sales Engineer, Account Manager, and Director of Sales for Optical/Data Products. In the latter position, Jawanza Lamar contributed greatly to Nortel’s new business development by utilizing Nortel’s industry-leading equipment to provide strategic technology solutions for a variety of Fortune 500 clients. During his tenure with Nortel, Jawanza Lamar was responsible for driving in excess of $250M in revenue from new and pre-existing clients. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Jawanza Lamar enjoys helping young engineers grow as students and professionals as a tutor through the NSBE. An enthusiastic reader, Jawanza Lamar particularly enjoys the works of Edgar Allen Poe and cites William Golding’s Lord of the Flies as a personal favorite. Jawanza Lamar also enjoys practicing karate; he has earned his second degree black belt from the U.S. Yoshukai Karate Association.
